Biography
 

Dave Nuss, an Oregon Licensed Real Estate Broker, provides services to buy or sell residential properties (personal and investment) in the Salem, Keizer and Marion/Polk county areas.  He is affiliated with Sundance Realty and its fifty brokers located throughout the Willamette Valley and on the Coast.

 

Dave started his real estate business in 2007 after finishing a 27 year career in public education in the Marion County area.  His fifteen years experience as a school administrator and superintendent sharpened his skills to consult, oversee transactional details, and negotiate various real estate proposals. His real estate experience includes work with Coldwell Banker, Prudential and now Sundance Realty. Dave has learned a lot about the real estate business during this current recession and can serve his clients’ needs whether the sale is traditional, a short sale or foreclosure.

 

A Salem native, Dave graduated from South Salem High School, served four years in the Navy receiving an Honorable Discharge, followed by three years in the Navy Reserve while in college. He attended the Oregon College of Education (now Western Oregon University) receiving a BS and MS in Education.  He went on to earn his Oregon Principal and Superintendent Certifications from the University of Oregon.  Dave taught grades 3 – 8 in Salem, Aumsville and then Gervais his first twelve years in education , followed by fifteen years in school administration with the Gervais School District. He served on many different local and state leadership positions with a variety of education associations – Confederation of School Administrators, Oregon Small Schools Association, Western Oregon University Education Consortium, Oregon Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development, as well as his work with the local Rotary and Kiwanis.

 

Dave currently is a member of South Salem Rotary, International Services Chair and President-Elect for 2010-11 and is President of the Hope Station Board, a resource for working families that have experienced temporarily need for food and clothing assistance.

 

Dave has been married to Kathy for 37 years; they have three wonderful children and ten adorable grandchildren, making family gatherings a lot of fun. The families all reside in the Salem/Portland area, so spending time with grandchildren is frequent and enjoyable.

He kept me updated on market conditions every two weeks with a printout of homes coming on the market and homes sold in my home’s category during the last two weeks.  His featured/enhanced ads  on the Realtor.com Internet site not only brought more Internet exposure to my home, but also allowed me to see the number of weekly web-hits those ads were getting for my home.
